Leaves are to be swept, raked or blown to the curb (between the sidewalk and the curb) and not into the street or gutter of the street. Leaves may be bagged or put in garbage cans for pickup by the garbage collection company. If a heavy rain should occur and leaves are on the street it will wash the leaves down into the storm drains and plug them and create flooding problems for residents. If you have a neighbor that is raking leaves into the street give them a heads up of what you read here today. >> If you have any questions or concerns please call the Public Works at 683-1028 (7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.)
>>It is not necessary to call for leave pick up as a route has been established and Public Works will cover all streets in the village. It is not possible to make a pass by your property everyday. If you swept the leaves to the curb after the trucks have passed we will get them the next time through.
